Derechos Digitales is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005 and based in Chile. It works across Latin America to promote and defend human rights in the digital environment, focusing on freedom of expression, privacy and personal data, and equitable access to knowledge. Through legal advocacy, research and public awareness, Derechos Digitales seeks to ensure that digital technologies advance rather than undermine fundamental rights.
In partnership with IRIS, Derechos Digitales produced a short video that invites us to rethink labor precarity from a critical and creative perspective. The film captures the daily experiences of platform workers—highlighting algorithmic discrimination, unstable incomes and the invisibility of gig work—and calls for fair labor practices. By amplifying worker voices and exposing the unseen labor behind digital platforms, the project aligns with the Future of Workers mission to center workers’ narratives in discussions about labor rights.
